Sea Scouts Secure Lottery Funding

Sea Scouts Secure Lottery Funding29.03.2006

4th Knowle Sea Scout Group has today been awarded £4,788 from the National Lottery's Awards for All scheme. The grant will go towards expanding the Group's fleet of canoes in order to allow more local young people to experience the excitement of canoeing this summer.

The canoes will also be used to coach the Sea Scouts through the British Canoe Union award scheme, and to provide the platform for Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions. The Group has over 150 young members, and welcomes males and females aged between 6 and 18.
